Mary Richards - will 1805

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Richards of Rushden in the County of Northampton Widow which I do make publish and declare in manner following (that is to say) First I direct that all my just Debts Legacies Funeral and Testamentary Expenses shall be fully paid and discharged by my Executors hereinafter named I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Mary Richards the sum of one hundred pounds of Lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to her at the expiration of - - - - - Calendar Months next after my decease I also give and bequeath unto my eldest Son Thomas Wright Richards the like sum of One hundred pounds And unto my second son Charles Fletcher Richards the Sum of two hundred pounds And unto my two youngest Sons John Richards and William Richards the sum of three hundred pounds apiece All which said four several last mentioned Legacies I direct shall be paid to my said Sons respectively when and as they shall severally attain their respective ages of twenty one years And I further direct that the yearly Interest of the respective Legacies of each of them my said Sons shall be applied and disposed of by my Trustees and Executors hereinafter named for and towards their maintenance and education during their respective Minorities And in case my said Daughter Mary Richards shall die without issue before her said Legacy shall become payable as aforesaid or in case any one or more of them my said sons shall die under the age of twenty one years and without Issue then I give and bequeath the Legacy or respective Legacies of her/him or them so dying ad aforesaid unto the Survivors or Survivor or others of them my said Daughters and Sons to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike I also give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary Richards my Silver Coffee Pot four Silver Salt Cellers and spoons one Silver Mustard Pot and Spoon one Silver Cream Jug one pair of Silver Tea Tongs four Silver Table Spoons all the Furniture of every kind in the Parlour and Best Chamber and all my Linen of every sort (except twelve pair of Sheets by me next hereinafter given and bequeathed) I also give and bequeath unto my said two Sons Thomas Wright Richards and Charles Fletcher Richards six pair of Sheets each All the rest residue and remainder of my Household Goods Furniture Plate China Goods Chattels Personal Estate and Effects in whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or sort soever the same shall or may consist at the time of my decease and not hereinbefore by me otherwise disposed of I do give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Daughter Mary Richards and my said two sons Thomas Wright Richards and Charles Fletcher Richards to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint William Wright of Wymington in the county of Bedford Farmer and Allen Lovell of Mears Ashby in the said County of Northampton Farmer Guardians as well of the Persons as of the Estates of my said sons during their respective Minorities and Trustees and Executors of this my last Will and Testament And lastly hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former and other Wills and Codicils by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this present Writing to be and contain my only true last Will and Testament I Witness whereof I the said Mary Richards the Testatrix have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four

On the Second Day of July 1805 William Wright of Wymington and Allen Lovell of Mears Ashby the Executors named in the written Will were then shown to well and faithfully to fulfil the same according to Law and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the within named deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds
