John Richards - will 1612

In the name of God Amen The twentitheight day of Januarie in Anno dni 1612 I John Richards of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton yeoman sicke in bodie by the visitation of god but yet in good and perfect memorie god be praised Therefore doe make and ordaine this my testament wherein is conteyned my last will in manner and forme following First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almightie god my heavenlie Father and to Jesus Christ his onlie Sonne my redeemer and to the holie ghost my Sanctifier by whome and in whome I trust to be saved and to have forgivnes of all my sinnes Item I give and bequeath to the poore people of the towne of Rushden xxs to be paid unto them imediatlie after my decease at the discretion of mine Executrix Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Whishton xs Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne John Richards xx£ of lawfull English money to be paid him when he shall come to the age of one and twentieth years Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Samuell xx£ to be paid him in like manner Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Joseph xxli to be paid him also at xxjth years of Age Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth xx£ of currant English money to be paied her when she shall come to the age of xxiiijth yeares Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Marie xx£ of good and lawfull money of England to be paid hir when she cometh to thage of xxiiijth yeares Item I give and bequeath unto my wife all such lands whearin one Master Willm FitzJeffrey standeth bounden unto me the said John Richards with all such conditions as in the same bonds it doth and may more plainlie appeare Further my will is that if any of my children departe this world before they have recived their legacie then the legacie of him or her soe departed shall remaine amongst the rest of the Survivors Item I give to either of my Servants iijs iiijd a peece to be paid them within six monthes after my decease Item I give to John Lawford xijd and to John Curtice xijd Item my will is that the pales about the garden and the lanste? unfinished the Stable plankes Racks and mangars shalbe left unto mine heire in good and sufficient repaire at the discretion of Two indifferent men Alsoe my will is further that all the hovels in and aboute the yeard shalbe left whollie unto mine heire in good and sufficient repaire Item all the rest of my goods and chattels unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto Marie my wife whome I make my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament to see my debts paid and all funeral and all other expences discharged and will that this shall stand and none other nor otherwise Wittnesses to the same Robert Sannders John Tapp Oliver Lattimer John Richardes
