Moris Pits - will 1615

In the name of God Amen The third day of Julie in the yeare of our Lord 1615 I Moris Pits of Rushden in the county of North’ husbandman being sick in bodie but whole in minde land and praise be unto almightie God therefore do ordaine and make my testament containinge herein my Last will in form and manner following First I bequeath my soule unto almightie God my creator and redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the parish Churchyard of Rushden aforesayde

Item I bequeath unto Elizabeth my daughter v£ to be paid unto her within on[e] yeare after her mariage and on[e] bullock so that she shall breed a bullock for her sister Ellin of the same bullock of her first calf being a cow calf and on[e] pair of harden sheets and on[e] other pair of flaxen on[e] coffer and on[e] sheep to be delivered to her within on[e] yeare after her marriage.

Item I geve unto my daughter Ellin v£ to be paid unto her within on[e] yeare after her marriage and on[e] panne on[e] paire of harden sheets and on[e] pair of flaxen sheets on[e] coffer and on[e] sheepe to be delivered unto her within on[e] yeare after her marriage.

Item I geve unto my daughter Susan xij d.

Item I geve on[e] Lambe unto John Hangers children to be parted Equalie betwixt them and I geve unto my daughter Sarah xij d.

Item I geve unto Marie Kellisons children on[e] Lambe to be parted eqaulie amongst them and I geve unto Marie Kellison xij d.

Item my will is that Prudence my daughter (havinge of Ellin my wife the estate of this house and on[e] half yard of land according to the custom of the manor) shall make up her two sisters Elizabeth and Ellin their stocks eyther of them xx£ a peece with that which I have geven them already in this my present will and Testament.

Item I geve unto Francis Bates and Robert May eyther of them vj d. whom I make overseers of this my last will and Testament.

Item all the rest of my goods unbequeathed I geve and bequeath unto Ellin my wife and Prudence my daughter whom I make whole Executrix of this my last will and Testament In witness hearof I have put to my hand Dated the day and yeare above wrighten
