Elizabeth Peake 1674

In the name of God Amen: May the twenty fiveth 1674: I Elizabeth Peake of Rushden in the County of Northampton widow: being weake & inferme of body but of perfect sence & remembrance God be praised do make & ordayne this my last will and testament in manner & forme following.
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of allmighty God my maker hopeing thorough the meritorious death & suferings of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon of all my sinns and my body to be buried in Christian buriall acording to the discresion of my Executor. And as for that worldly goods with which it hath pleased God to entrust me I give therof as followeth
Item I give & bequeath to Frances Burge widow my sister, my best Gowne
Item I give to Mary Ekins widow: my other sister my red peticote: Item I give to Samuel Peake Clerke my sonne, the sum of twenty shillings to be payed to him the said Samuel within one yeare after my decease
Item all the rest of my moveable goods & chattels I give & bequeath to my sonne Thomas Peake whom I make soul Executor, of this my last will & testament, revoking all other wills & testaments
In wittnesse hereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale the day & yeare above written
