Samuel Palmer – 1713

In the Name of God Amen The Twentieth Day of October in ye year of our Lord God 1709 I Samuell Palmer of Rushden in the County of Northampton being of sound mind and memory thanks be to God but calling to mind the mortality of my body do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament in ye manner & form following.

Imprimis I give & bequeath to my Brother William Palmer one Shilling. Item I give & bequeath to my sonn Samuell Palmer the summ of Twenty Shillings. Item I give & bequeath to my sonn William Palmer the like summ of Twenty Shillings Item I give to my sonn Thomas Palmer ye sum of Twenty Shillings Item I give & bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Chils the like summ of Twenty Shillings. Item I give to my daughter Ann Newold the sum of Twenty Shillings Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Palmer the summ of Twenty Shillings Item I give to my daughter Sarah Palmer ye summ of Twenty Shillings Item my Will is that these Legacies shall be paid by my Executrix hereafter named within Twelve months after my decease if lawfully demanded Item I give to my well-beloved Wife Elizabeth Palmer whom I likewise constitute make & ordain my only sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament All and singular my whole Personal Estate together with all my Household Goods and Chattels by her freely to be possessed & enjoyed And I do here by utterly disallow revoke & disanull all & every other former Wills & Testaments by me in any ways before this time named Ratifying & confirming this & no other to be my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand & seal ye day & year above written.
