Thomas Osboston - Will 1622

Testamentum Thome Osboston de Rushden

1 October 1622

In the name of God Amen the first day of October in the yeare
of our Lord one thousand six hundredth and two and twentie I Thomas
Osbaston of Rushden in the countie of Northampton labourer being sicke
in bodie but whole in mind and of good and perfect memorie laud and praise
bee unto almightie God therefore doe ordaine and make my will conteyning
herein my last will and testament in forme and manner. First I
bequeath my soule to almightie god my Creator and to Jesus Christ
my redeemer and my bodie to bee buried in the parish churchyard of
Rushden aforesaid. Item I bequeath, I give unto William my sonne
five shillings of good and lawfull money to bee paid unto him within
one yeare after my decease. Item I give unto the said William
all my wearing apparel, except one Cloake and my best doublet. Item
I give unto Thomas my sonne five shillings and all my wearing apparel
within two  yeares after my decease. And all the rest of my goods
unbequeathed I give unto Margarett my wife whom I make my sole
executrix of this my last will and testament. In wittnesse thereof
I have put to my hand. I appointe for overseers Robert May and John
May. The hand and marke of the Testator.
