In the name of the father and of the sonne & of the holy ghost amen the seven & twentieth day of May an dni 1634 I John Myles of Rushden in the County of North’ton husbandman being syck in body yet in perfect memory thanks be given to god do ordaine & make this my testament conteynyng hearby my Last will in manner & forme following First I give & bequeath my soule into the hands of almightie god my Creator & to Jesus Christ my Redeemer & the holy ghost my Sanctifyer & preserver and my body to bee buryed in the Churchyard of Rushden and my goods to the world as followeth Item I give and bequeath unto Margery my youngest Daughter Twenty poundes in wheareof of Tenn poundes to bee payed her at the day of her marriage and the other Tenne pounds to be payed her One moneth after the byrth of her first Childe yf shee Doeth Live All the rest of my goods within Dores and without dores boath in the feyld & within the barne I give and bequeath unto Margery My wife whome I make my Sole Executryxe of this my Last will & testament To see my Debtes and Legasses Discharged and my body brought to the ground And I doe apoint for overseers of the same John Smyth and Eliab May In witnesse whereof I doe hearunto set my hand the day and yeare above written
