In the name of god amen the sixteenth day of June 1668 I William Meller the elder beeing very Ancient & knowing by the course of nature that I cannot live long doe with my own hand make my testament conteyning herein my last will in manner & forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my soule unto almighty god my maker & redeemer through whose death & passion I hope & stedfastly beelieve I shall injoy a joyfull resurrection & I beequeath my body to bee buryed in the churchyard of Thingden aforesaid & as for my temporall goods wch it hath pleased god to give unto mee I give & beequeath them as followeth
First I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Cox 12d & I alsoe give & beequeath to her daughter Rebecca 12d & to her daughter Elizabeth 12d to bee paid by my executrix
Item I give unto my daughter Joana Three Score pounds of good & lawfull money to bee paid by my executrix
Item I give unto my sonne William the bed & cupbord wch I boght of John Cayworth & the great barrell & the mashing Tubbe which was bought with the same
Item I give & beequeath to Dorothy Smith & Elizabeth Smith & Thomas Smith my grandchildren 12d a peece to bee paid by my executrix
Item I give unto Francis Smith my grandchilde Five pounds of good & lawfull money of England to bee paid by my executrix
Item I give unto Elizabeth Meller, Francis Meller, William Meller & Iohn Meller children of my sonne William 12d a peece to [be] paid by my executrix
Item I give & beequeath to William Meller Elizabeth Meller & Susanna Meller the children of my sonne Henry 12d a peece to bee paid by my executrix
The rest of my goodes, cattells & chatells unbequeathed I give unto my loving wife Elizabeth & make her sole executrix of this my last will & testament, provided alwaies & my will is that if it bee the providenc of god my said wife should depart this life beefore mee then I make my daughter Joana sole executrix of this my last will & testament
I doe make constute & ordaine my sonne William & Henry supravisors of this my last will & testament & I give unto them 12d a peece & I doe hereby revoke & annull all other giftes, promises, legacies & beequeasts heretofor made or done by mee

Imprimis I bequeath my soul unto almighty god my maker & redeemer through whose death & passion I hope & stedfastly believe I shall enjoy a joyful resurrection & I bequeath my body to be buried in the churchyard of Thingden (Finedon) aforesaid & as for my temporal goods which it hath pleased god to give unto me I give & bequeath them as follows
First I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Cox 12d & I also give & bequeath to her daughter Rebecca 12d & to her daughter Elizabeth 12d to be paid by my executrix
Item I give unto my daughter Joanna Three Score (60) pounds of good & lawful money to be paid by my executrix
Item I give unto my son William the bed & cupboard which I bought of John Cayworth & the great barrel & the mashing Tub which was bought with the same
Item I give & bequeath to Dorothy Smith & Elizabeth Smith & Thomas Smith my grandchildren 12d apiece to be paid by my executrix
