Thomas Malory 1706 will

In the name of God Amen the sixth day of October in the year of our Lord 1708 I Thomas Malory of Rushden in the County of Northampton yeoman being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first of all I give and commend my soul into the hands of God that gave it my body I commend to the earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as touching such worldy estate which with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I dispose of the same in the following manner and form
Imprimus I give to my brother William Malory one shilling Item I give and bequeath to my cousin Moses Gobby all my fourteen acres of freehold land and all my seven swathes of freehold meadow ground to the same more or less lying and being in the fields and meadows of Rushden to him and his heirs forever Item my will is that my kinsman Moses Gobby aforesaid shall pay unto my beloved wife Mary Malory four pounds a year so long as she liveth Item I give unto my beloved wife Mary Malory whom I likewise make my only and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament all and singular my movables and chattels by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed excepting the hoveling timber in the yard and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disanull all and every other former testaments wills and legacies bequests and Executors by me many ways before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
