Samuel Mallory 1745

In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Mallory of Rushden in the county of Northampton Yeoman being sound of mind & memory do make this my last will and testament in manner following I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting to be saved through the alone merits & mediation of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ My Body I give to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named – Item my mind & Will is that my dearly beloved Wife Margarett Mallory shall have & receive all the rents issues & profitts of all my Freehold & Coppyhold Messuages lands & tenements towards bringing up my two Children Samuel & Margaret untill my Son Samuel shall attain the age of twenty & One years Item I give unto my daughter Margaret Threescore pounds to be paid in two years after my said Son Samuel shall attain the age of Twenty & One years and I charge all my Freehold & Coppyhold Lands Messuages & tenements with the appurtnances there unto belonging with the payment of the same Item I give & bequeath unto my Loving Wife Margaret from & after my son Samuel shall attain his age of Twenty & One years the sum of five pounds per annum to be paid her half yearly out of the rents issues & proffitts of all my Freehold & Coppyhold estate with the Appurtenances for & during the term of her natural life. But my mind and Will further is that my Executrix shall have no other benefitt in Lopping of wood & plashing the hedges than is usually allowed to a tennant & I will that my Executrix shall Leave the Copper as now standing with the Clock & Malt Mill to & for the benefitt of my Son Samuel as Standards belonging to the house I now dwell in Lastly I make my Loving Wife Margaret Mallory sole Executrix of this my last (will) & testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day & year above written.
