William Mallery 1744

In the Name of God Amen I William Mallery of Rushden in the County of Northampton Yeoman being sick and infirm of Body but (thanks be to God) of a Sound and Disposing mind and Memory Do this Tenth Day of May in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Four make constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form Following (that is to Say) First and principally I commend my Soul to the mercy of Almighty God hoping in and by the meritorious Death and passion of my Dear Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to receive free pardon and forgiveness of my Sins and my Body I committ to the Earth to be decently Interred at the Discretion of my Executors hereinafter named not doubting of a Joyfull Resurrection thereof and as for this Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God of his Goodness to bestow upon me I give and Dispose thereof as follows First my Will is and I do hereby direct that my Just Debts and Funerall Expenses be justly paid and Discharged Also I give unto my Kinsmen Henry Darnell Robert Darnell and Tho Darnell the sume of one pound and one shilling a piece to be payd to them immediately after my Decease Also I give unto the said Robert Darnell a Barrell value about Five Shillings also I give unto my Niece the Wife of --- Drage of Irthlingborow in the said County of Northampton one pound and one Shilling to be paid imediatly after my Decease Also I give unto my Brother John Mallery of Wellingborow in the said County of Northampton Farmer my best beadstead Feather Bed Bolster pillow or pillows Blanketts Quilt or Coverlid Curtains and Vallance and a pair of my midle sort of Flaxen Sheets Also I give unto my NephewHenry Lambe of Rushden aforesaid Carpenter my other Bedstead Feather Bed Bolster pillow or pillows Blankets Quilt or Coverlid Curtains and Vallance and one pair of my middle^Sort of Flaxen Sheets Also I give unto my Niece Margarett Mallery of Rushden aforesaid spinster the sume of Fifty Shillings to be paid to her Twelve Months next after my Decease Also my Will is and I do hereby direct that my Executors hereinafter named shall pay and Discharge a Debt of Fourscore pounds I owe unto my ^said Brother John Mallery within Twelve months after my Decease Also I give and Devise all my Freehold Coppyhold and Bondhold Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and hereditaments with their and every of their Appurtenances Situate standing lying and being in Rushden aforesaid or elsewhere in the Kingdom of England unto my Nephew Samuell Mallery ^of Rushden aforesaid for and during the term of his Naturall life and from and after his Decease then unto the Heirs Male of the Body of the said Samuell Mallery Lawfully Begotten or to be begotten and for want of such Issue then unto my Nephew William Mallery of Wellingborow aforesaid Baker for and during the Term of his Naturall life and from and after his Decease then unto the Heirs male of the Body of the same William Mallery lawfully Begotten or to be Begotten and for want of such Issue then unto my Heirs Male and for want of such Issue then unto my right Heirs and Assignes for ever all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give unto my said Nephew ^ Samuell Mallery and I do hereby make constitute and appoint him my said Nephew Samuell Mallery full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoake all former Wills by me made
