John Lansborne - will 1561

In the name of god amen the xvj th
daie of Maie In the yere of our Lord god 1560
I John Lansborne of Rusheden in the countie of
North[amptonshire] husbandman being hole of mynde
and perfect of remembrance thankes be god do make
my last will and testament in manner and
forme followinge, First I bequethe my soule
to god almightie my maker and redeemer and
be (sic) bodie to be buried in the churche yard of
Rushden before named. Item I geve and bequeath
to Agnes my daughter a yereringe bullocke
Item I geve and bequethe to Elizabeth and
Joan my dowghters & to eiche of them a
wenynge calfe Item I geve and bequethe to
everie one of my three daughters aforesaid too
ewes apece of them and to eiche of them too
quarters of barlie. Also my wyfe being now
with childe & yf it plese god to send her
a sonne I geve and bequeath to hym a shod
carte and fortie shillings of money and
tow quarters of barlie a cow and fower
shepe, & yf it happen that she be delivered
of a dowghter than I geve and bequeath to
her as I have geven to my other doughters
afornamed. Also I will that my children
shall have there stockes put to there owne uses
and proffet at the age of xij yeres and so to have
the proffet thereof The residew of my goodes &
cattails & my dettes owinge me I do geve &
bequethe to Elizabeth my wyfe whom I do
make my sole executrix of this my last will
and to se me honestlie buried, and henrie
Myrgill to be my supervisor and he to have
for his paynes iij s iiij d. These men beringe
witnesse Thomas Bolton Henrie Margill &
Thomas Bates with others
