Mary Hawks 1784

In the Name of God Amen

I Mary Hawks of the parish of Rushden in the County of Northampton Widdow, being Sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God I therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth, to be burried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor And as to such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and bequeath as follows. Viz. I give and bequeath to my Beloved Son William Hawks of Rushden Baker, all and Singular my Household goods and furniture, such as Beds Bedding Chests draws Tables Chairs and all other my household goods to be for his own use and solely at his disposal Together with all my wearing apparel of all sorts and all my Linen and woollen to be at his dispose And I do likewise nominate and appoint my said son William Hawks to be my only and sole Executor of this my last will and testament whom I also charge with the payment of all my just Debts and funeral expences And I do hereby ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th Day of November 1781
