In the name of god Amen the xiij^th daye June in the twentie yeare of the Raigne of our most soveraigne Ladie Elizabeth by the grace of god queen of England &c I James Hargrave of Rushden Sicke of body and whole in mynd do make and ordeyne my last will and Testament in forme and maner followinge: First I bequeath my soule unto almightie god and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Rushden Itm I geve unto John my sonne xls of lawful Englishe money to be delivered at xviij yeares of ages and a blacke --- to be delivered at mychelmasse next and also one [theve] to be delivered the day after my departure and a folden table otherwysse called a counter Itm I geve unto Jane my eldest daughter xxs of money and one cowe bullock of three yeares olde and also two pewter dishes to be delivered at xviij^th yeares of age Itm I geve unto Jone my seconde daughter xxs of mony & one cowe bullocke of thre yeares old to be delivered at xviij^th yeares of age Itm I geve unto Susanna my third daughter xxs of money and one cowe bullocke of thre yeares old to be delivered at xviij^th yeares of age Itm I geve unto Ales my fourth daughter xxs of money and one cowe bullocke of thre yeares old to be delivered at xviij^th  yeares of age Itm I geve unto Syble my eldest syster halfe a quarter of barley to be delivered at mychelmasse come twelvemoneth and also one cowe calfe to be delivered at the same tyme Itm I geve unto Margerye my second syster half a quarter of barley to be delivered at mychelmasse come twelvemoneth Itm I geve unto the reparinge of the church of Rushdene xxd Itm I will that yf any of my children doe departe this world that then the stockes of those departed to be devided by even porcons to the use and commoditie of those my children which shall remayne alyve The rest of my goods unbequeathed I geve unto Margerye my wyffe whom I doe make my whole executrice Itm I will that Richard Brafeld & Willm Boyfeld be my super visors to se my legacies well & trewly paide accordinge to the true meanynge of my will witnesses heareunto Richard Peake minister, Olyver Lattymer, Richard Brafeld with others
