Henry Hall 1735 Will

In the name of God Amen I Henry Hall of Rushden in the County of Northampton Yeoman being sick & weak of body but of perfect sound & disposing mind & memory Do make & ordaine this my last will & Testament in Manner & Form following First I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God trusting to be saved by his Mercy through the merritts of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ & my body I committ to the Earth to be decently buryed at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter named And as for that Temporall Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of the same as followes – I give & Devise All my messuages Lands Tenements Closes Meadow Ground Hereditaments & premises with the Appurtenances whatsoever Situate lying & being in the parish of Rushden aforesaid unto my Dear & Loving Wife Elizabeth Hall & to her heirs & assignes for ever. In trust by her to be sold and the moneys ariseing by such sale in the First place to pay & discharge the prinsipall & Interest money due on Mortgage to the Reverend John Sharpe of Knotting Clerke and after payment thereof and all Charges arising thereof Then I give & Bequeath the remainder thereof to be equally divided between my four Daughters Namely Anna, Jane, Mary & Martha Hall to be paid to them when they shall attaine to the age of one & twenty yeares or day of Marriage and in the meantime to be placed out at Interest for their benefitt And in case any of them shall Dye before they attain to the age of one & twenty yeares or Day of Marriage Then her or their parts to be Divided amongst the Survivors And I will that the Rent of the said Lands Tenements & premises till sold as also the purchase money not charged upon the same to be equally Divided amongst my said Daughters As to my personall Estate I give & bequeath unto my said Loving Wife Elizabeth Hall Two Hundred pounds In Leiw & in full payment & in Discharge of a Bond which I became bound to Ann Brawn Widdow for the [ ________ ] of the payment of the sum of Two Hundred pounds unto my said Wife Elizabeth Hall & halfe my Household Goods All the rest & residue of my reall personall Estate whatsoever I will to be Divided amongst my said four Daughters and I doe Nominate & appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Hall sole Executrix of this my Last Will & Testament Hereby revoking all former & other Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale the fifth day of February in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & thirty four.
