John Gurrey alias Butcher - will 1605

In the name of god Amen the Fourteenth daie of Aprill in Anno Dni 1605 I John Gurrey alias Butcher of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton husbandman being sick in bodie by the visitacon of god but yet in good and perfect memory god be praised therefore dow make and ordaine this my testament wherein is contained my last will in manner and forme following First I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of almightie god by whom and in whom I trust to be saved and to have forgiveness of all my synnes &c Item I give and bequeath to Agnes my wife one Chest one Coffer one boxe two kettles one bigger and a lesse a [Couling] three pillowbeares one [Kymmer] one paire of sheetes one harden the other flaxen three table napkins one Candlestick one porringer a pewter dishe a saucer one barrel that hath drinke in it halfe my henns and Cocks eight pounds of wooll a pillowe and a boulster one black Cowe Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Marie one redd bullock and a black yearling bullock and the Chest standing by my bedd head and the bedd also a cubberd the table standing on the benche three paire of sheetes one brasse pott sixe peeces of pewter of the best one paire of pillowe beares one Coffer standing in the hall my best bolster and my best Covering three sheepe the greate brasse pann Two barrels halfe the hennes and a cock to be given and paied her within eight yeares after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Thomas the little brasse pott and a penn and one little table and three sheepe Item my will is that my wife shall have foure yards and a halfe of the graie cloth and my sonne Thomas a Coate of the same and the rest shalbe devided betwixt my sonne Henrie and my daughter Marie Item all the rest of my goodes Corne and Chattells unbequeathed I give and bequeath to Henrie my sonne whom I make my whole Executor to see my debts paied and all other expences discharges Wytnesses to the same Thomas Margetts senior John Tappe George Gobie John Bletshoe.
