John Gobby 1730

In the name of God Amen I John Gobby the elder of Rushden in the County of Northampton yeoman do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following Imprimis I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping for mercy through the merits of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried and as for my worldly goods I dispose of the same as followeth Item I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Gobby all my household goods grain growing and being upon my lands and premises and all my goods and chattels whatsoever and do make my said wife sole executrix of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nine and twentieth day of October in the third year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George by the grace of God King of Great Britain &c Anno Domini 1729

the above named John Gobby as his
last will and testament in the presence of
us who in his presence have set our hands
as witnesses
