John Gobby 1667

[Au]gust the second in the yeare of our lord 1667
In the name of God Amen I John Gobby of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton [?] being weake & infirme of body but of perfect sence & Remebrance god be praised, doe make & ordayne this my last Will & Testament in manner & forme following, first I bequeath my soule into the handes of Allmyghty God my maker & Redeemer hopeing thorough the meritorios death & passion of our lord & saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon & remision for all my sines & my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discresion of my executor,
Item I give to my sone Moses Gobby the sume of twenty shillings And to the three Children of the said Moses the sume of twenty shillings to be equally divided betwixt them, Item to the said Moses I give one halfe hed bed with the furnituer therto belonging, Item one wicker Chaire And one borden Chaire having one of the Armes broke of, And allso a Wooden rocker peece, Item to Jerimy Gobby my younger sonne I Give the sume of forty shillings, & to the childeren of ye said Jerimy I give the sume of twenty shillings to be equally divided betwixt them, Item to the daughter of my [sonne ?] John Gobby I give the sume of ten shillings Item [to?] the two children of Robert Manning that he had by my daughter Martha, the sume of five shillings apeece Item to my daughter heynes children the sume of twenty shillings to be divided in equall portions betwixt them,
Item To Samuell Tiler, the husband of my daughter Mary I give all the remainder of my goods & Chattels onbequeathed whome I make sole Executor of this my last will & testament Item I make my sonne Moses Gobby overseer of this my last will & testament, that the contents therof may inviolably be keept & perfomed, In Wittnesse wherof I the said John Gobby have hereunto set my hand the day & yeare above written
