Moses Gobby 1671

In the Name of God Amen February ye twentyth, in ye year of our lord one thousand six hundred & seventy, I Moses Gobby of Rushden in ye county of Northampt husbandman, being sicke and weake of body but of perfect sence & remembrance God be praised doe make & ordayne this my last will & testament in manner & forme following First I bequeath my soule into ye hands of Allmighty God my maker, hopeing through ye meritorious death & pasion of my lord & saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon & remision of all my sins & my body to be buried in christian buriall at ye discresion of mary my wife whome I make Executrix of this my last will & testament  And as for that worldly goods wherewith God hath been pleased to entrust me I give therof as followeth First I Give & bequeath to Mary Gobby my eldest daughter the sume of ten poundes of lawfull English money to be payed to her the said Mary by my Executrix, when shee ye said Mary shall attayne ye age of one & twenty yeares Item I give to my daughter Anne the sume of ten pounds, when she ye sd. Anne shall atayne ye age of one & twenty yeares.  Item all ye rest of my moveable Goods & Chattles I give to Mary my wife.

In the Name of God Amen February the twentieth in the year of our lord one thousand six hundred & seventy I Moses Gobby of Rushden in the County of Northampton husbandman being sick and weak of body but of perfect sense & remembrance God be praised, do make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping through the meritorious death & passion of my lord & saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon & remission of all my sins & my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of Mary my wife whom I make Executrix of this my last will & testament And as for that worldly goods wherewith God hath been pleased to entrust me I give thereof as follows first I give & bequeath to Mary Gobby my eldest daughter the sum of ten pounds of lawful English money to be paid to her the said Mary by my Executrix, when she the said Mary shall attain the age of one & twenty years Item I give to my daughter Anne the sum of ten pounds, when she the said Anne shall attain the age of one & twenty years.  Item all the rest of my moveable Goods & Chattels I give to Mary my wife.
