Thomas Geary - 1612 will

In the name of god amen the tenth day of April in the year
of our lord 1612 I Thomas Gearey of Rushden in the county of Northampton
husbandman beinge sicke in body but whole in minde laude and praise be unto
almightie god therefore doe ordayne and make my testament containing
hearin my last will in form and manner following. First I bequeath my soull
untoallymighty god my creatour and maker & redeemer and my body to be
buried in theparish churchyard of Rushden aforesaid.

Item I geve unto Henry and Thomas my two younger sonnes
eyther of them v li to be paid by my executour to eyether of them
at xxj year of their ages. Item I geve unto Agnes my daughter
v li to be paid at the day of her maryage or at xxj on yeare of
her age. Item I geve unto Dorithy my daughter v li to be paid
at the day ofer mariag or xxj year of her age. Item I geve unto
Marie my daughter v li to be paid at the day of her marriage
or xxj year of her age. Item my will is that if any of my said
children depart this life before they receve their stock that then
ther said portion shall remaine to the rest of my children.
I geve unto my sonne Jhon my closs of freehold ground with
all the appurtenances after the decease of Agnes my wife upon
condition that my said sonne John shall paye unto my two
younger sonnes Henry and Thomas eyther of them v li pounds
at the tyme (after sayd) when he shall enter of the said closs.
Item all the rest of my goods unbequethed I geve unto Agnes my
wife whom I make my sole executrix of this my said will and testament
Item I appoint for overseers my brother Raphaell Gearey and
Richard Barey. In wittnes hearof I have put to my hand
