Thomas Ekins 1767

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Ekins of Rushden in the County of Northampton Esq Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath to my loving and beloved wife Mary All my store grain and other implements of husbandry effects Goods Chattels and all other my personal estate whereof wherein or wherefor I am possessed invested or any ways intitled or at any time hereafter may or shall be possessed invested or any ways intitled for her sole use and comfort And I make my said wife sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made  In witness whereof I the said Thomas Ekins the testator to this my last Will and Testament have set my hand and seal the ninth day of May in the twenty third year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland king Defender of the faith and so forth And in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty Thos Ekins Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the above named Thomas Ekins the Testator as and for to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testator and in the presence of each other

This will was proved at London  the eighteenth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven before the Worshipful Andrew Golton Durand Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful George Hay also Doctor of Law Master Keeper or Commisary of the prorogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Mary Ekins Widow the relict of the deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and effects of the said deceased she having been first sworn duly to  Administrator.
