William Drewell 1598

In the name of god amen then tenth day of March Ano doni 1597 I Willm Drewell of Rushden in the countie of North[amp]ton husbandman being sicke in body by the visitacon of god but yet of good and perfect memorie God be praysed therefore doe make and ordayne this my Testament wherein is contayned my last will in maner & forme following. That is to saye first I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almightie god and my body to bee buried in the Church or Churchyard of Rushden Item I give and bequeath to the Church of Rushden vjs viijd Item I give to the maintenance of the cawsey in the their end of the Towne iijs iiijd Item I give unto Elizabeth Peacham xxs to bee payd her within one yeare after my decease  Item I give unto the children of my kinswoman Parrat of Sharnbrook iijs iiijd to bee payd within the yeare after my decease Item I give unto Edward Beridge my servant xxd Item I give unto my servant Richard Smith xxd Item I give unto Margreat Miller my servant xxd theis to be payde within one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of the Towne of Rushden xjs viijd to bee payde them imediately after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto either of my god children xijd apeece yt is Mary Waple Margreat Hall and Susan Weden  All the rest of my goods and chattells unbequeathed moveable and unmoveable I give and bequeath unto Esbell my wyfe whom I make my whole executrix to see my debts payde and other funerall expenses discharged  and all other wills I utterly revoke and will yt this shall stand and non other or otherwise Witnesses to the same Oliver Latimer John Geary Jacob Latimer.
