John Darnely 1612

In the name of God amen the xxth day of Januarie in the yeare of our Lord 1612 I John Darnelie of Rushden in the County of Northampton husbandman being sick in body but whole in mind laud and praise be unto God therefore doe ordain and make my testament containing herein my last will in form and manner following first I bequeath my soul unto Almighty God my creator and  redeemer and my body to be buried in the parish church yard of Rushden aforesaid
Item I give unto the said parish Church of Rushden xij d
Item I give towards the repayering of the caussey by Crabbs Close xij d and all the rest of my goods I give unto Elizabeth my wife whom I make my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament in witness thereof I have put to my hand I appoint for overseers William Campion and Robert May
