In the name of God Amen the sixth day of March in Anno Domini 1640 … … in the Countie of Northamton vitteller being Sycke in body yet in perfect m… … praise bee given to god do ordaine and make this my last Will and testament in M… … forme followeing first I bequeath my Soule into the hande of Almightie god my maker and … … Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer and to the holy ghoast my sanctifier & preserver and my bodie to bee buryed in the parish Church of Rushden and my goods I leave to the world as followeth Item I give and bequeath to Mary my wife my two pooles(?) of lease meadow in Rushden Meadow dureing her life and the remainder after her decease to George DRABLE my son in Law dureing the term of the lease Item all the rest of my goods and Chattells bonds and money both with in dores and with out dores Moveable and unmoveable I give unto Mary my wife whome I make my sole Executrix of this my last will to see my debts discharged and my body honestly brought to the grave and my will is that this shall stand and none other In Witnesse heareof I have heareunto Set my Hand my will is further that Thomas DRABLE the Son of Lewes DRABLE shall have five pounds payd him by my executrix at her death
