Thomas Colston - 1632 will

In the name of god amen I Thomas COLLSTON of Rushden in the Countye of Northampton husbandman being Sicke in bodye but of whole and pfecte memorie praise bee to god for the Same Doe ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manor and forme folloing being the third day of July in the yeare of our lord god one thousand Six hundred thirty and two

Imprimis first I give and bequeath my soule in to the hand of Allmightie god my creator and redemer and my body to bee buryed within the Church yard of Rushden afore-sayde

Item I give unto John COLLSTON And Annis my Daughter and Roger and William and Christofer and Robert and all theise my sones and Children Ten acars of graine which I the sayd Thomas COLLSTON have lieing within the fields and bounds of Rushden afoure sayde to bee equallie devided into six parts by John SMYTH of the same Towne and County yeoman and William PALLMER of the same Wheare of I the sayd Thomas COLLSTON Doe apoint the afoure sayde John SMYTH to be overseer for my youngest son by name Robt COLLSTON to make the best of it to my sones use. Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas COLLSTON dwelling in London five shillings to be payde with in oneWhole yeare after my depture all the rest of my goode unbequeathed I give unto Richard MALLERY my son in lawe Whom I doe make my whole executor to see my body decently buried and my funerall expenses discharge and debts discharged And firther I doe apointe John SMYTH and William PALMER to bee overseers of this my last Will and Testament and my minde is that this shall stand and none other In wittnes heare of I the sayde Thomas COLLSTON have heare unto sett to my hand and seal the day and yeare first above written:1632
