Thomas Clarke - will 1615

In the name of God Amen I Thomas CLARKE ba[chelor?] the Four and twentyeth day of September Anno Dmi 1613.
I Thomas CLARKE late of Rushden in the County of Northampton yeoman being Sicke in body but of good and perfect mynde and memory thanks be to God doe make and ordayne this my last Wille and testant in maner and forme following: First and principally I comend my Soule into the hands of almightie God my Creator and onely redeemer by whose onely meritts I trust to be Saved, And my body to the earth whence it came to be Seemely buryed in the Church of Rushden aforesaid at the discretion of my executors And as concerning my temporall goods wherewith god hath blessed me I give and bequeath them as followeth; First I give and bequeath the sume of xxs to be delivered into the hands of the Churchwardens and overseers for the poore of the towne of Stowe for the tyme being and the yearly benefitte therof arrising to be yearly distributed amongst the poore people of the same towne at the discretion of the said Churchwardens and overseers from tyme to tyme for ever. And I give x s to be distributed to the poore people of litle Catworth within one weeke next after the day of my decease. Item I give for and toward the repayring of the bells of Stowe aforesaid x s. And I give towards the repayre of the Church of Rushden aforesaid x s. Item I give to the use of the poore people of Rushden iij li to be imployed forever and the yearly benefitte therof to be yearly distributed amongst them at the discretion of the Churchwardens and overseers for the poore of the same towne to be delivered unto the said Churchwardens and overseers to be of the said towne within one moneth next after my decease. Item I give to Isabell the daughter of my late brother John CLARKE and the now wyfe of Ralf SEYWELL of Ammerson parish the summe of xj li to be payd within one moneth next after my decease. Item I give to Julian CLARKE the late wyfe of my brother Edward CLARKE and to her Foure daughters Forty shillings a peece to be payd to them within three monethes next after my decease. It I give to William CLARKE my Godsonne one of the sonnes of the sayd Julian iiij li to be payd within three monethes next after my decease Item I give unto the now children of Robert CLARKE of Dunsanger my kinsman xs a peece to be payd within half a yeare next after my decease. Item I give unto Henry CLARKE of Rushden my kinsman and to his sonne John CLARKE xls a peece the sume of iiij li wherof I wille that xls therof shalbe for the use of John CLARKE sonne of the said Henry the said iiij li to be payd within half a yeare next after my decease. Item I give to the two daughters of Charles CLARKE late of Rushden xxs a peece to be payd within one moneth next after my decease. Item I give to Isabell MANNINGE widdowe and to her eight children xxs a peece to be payd within one quarter of a yeare next after my decease. Item I give to John MYLES for him to devyded amongst his children as followeth ..lict to Margery his daughter v li and to … Mary on other of his daughters iijli and to the residue of his now children iiij li a peece All which I will shalbe payd within a yeare and three monethes next after my decease. Item I give unto Thomas MYLES my kinsman of Stoke golding xl s to be devyded amongst his now children. Item I give unto Mr Thomas WIGHTMAN my good Master xx s Item I give unto Mr Thomas MAPLES xx s Item I give unto Mrs MAPLES a peece of gold of xxxiij s Item to the three children of Mr MAPLES xx s amongst them Item I give unto Mr MOSLEY x s Item I give to Peter SANDERS of Rushden for his sonne John SANDERS x s All the residue of my goods and Chattells unbequeathed my debts payd my legacyes pformed and my funerall expenses discharged I wholly give and bequeath to my said Master Mr Thomas WIGHTMAN and to John MYLES my kinsman whom I make and ordayne the executors of this my last Wille and testament In witnes whereof I the Said Thomas CLARKE have hereunto Sette my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written in the presence of those whose names are here under written
