Richard Clarke 1616

In the name of god amen the xiith day of August in Anno Ind 1616 I Richard Clarke of Rushden in the conty of North husbandman being sicke in body by the visitacon of god but yet in good and perfect remembrance thankes be to god theirfore do make and ordayne this my Testament wherein is contayned my last will in manor and forme following First I give and bequeath my soule into the handes of Allmighty god my heavenly father Anto Jesus Christ his only son my Redemer and to the holie gost by whom and in whom I trust to be saved and to have forgivenes of all my sinnes Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Henry Clarke Foure Acars of free land one acar of the same lyeing upon a furlong called Garsdon hill Thre Roodes together of Longdon Furlong Mr. Thomas Margetts of the north one roode of the same furlong next Richard Mallary one Acar of Longdon furlong going over wharth pathe Thre Rodes together in the nether end of Blackfen one single rode upon dowrpit Item in the broke field at handcrosse three Roodes together Item in Rawtell on rood that next higham of the [foure?] Item on halfe acar of the same furlong one of the thre next the medow Item on halfe acar lying upon threthornes next Robert May Also my will is that if god call me away after this land is sowen then my son Henry shall enter of the fallow of the same land Item I give unto Jane my wyfe Two Acars of Land in every feild And of the same she shall have one halfe acar in every feild out of my son Henry his land And the rest out of my son Thomas his land during her naturall life if she kepe her selfe wydow and she shall have the same Land Ready sowen for the first yeare and after she shall find sede her selfe but my sonne Thomas shall plow yt for her as he do his owne during her life at his owne charges also I give unto my sayd wife my hall howse the nether kitchen and the nether parte of my close two beast three shepe and the the close haycock in and what close houshold stuffe she shall stand in nede of Item I give unto Margritt my daughter xls of good and Lawfull money of England to be payd her within one yeare after my decease Item I give unto my son Henry Clarke his children and also unto my son Samuell Smithes children every one of them fourty shillinges a peece of currant English money to be payed hym when hey shall com to the age of fourteen yeares dd a pece Item all the rest of my Goodes and cattels unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Clarke whom I make my wholl Executor of this my Last will and Testament & see my debts payed and all other funerall expenses discharged and I will that this shall stand and non other nor otherwyse
