Tressham Chapman - 1834 Will

Will of Tressham CHAPMAN, dated 16th Nov 1830

This is the last Will and Testament of me Tressham CHAPMAN of Rushden in the County of Northampton Wollen Manufacturer made when of sound mind memory and understanding in manner and form following , that is to say I give and Devise unto my Son William CHAPMAN of Finedon in the said County of Northampton Wollen Manufacturer All that my Copyhold Messuage or Tenement (now Occupied as two Tenements) with the Yards Gardens Outbuildings and Appurtenances thereto belonging Situate and being at Rushden aforesaid now in the Occupations of Thomas BODDINGTON and the Widow WATTS and which I purchased of the late John KNOWLES To hold the same and every part thereof unto my said Son William CHAPMAN his heirs and Assigns for ever As to all my Ready Money Mortgages Bonds Notes and Securities for Money Household Furniture plate Linen China Brewing Vessels Stock in Trade and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or sort soever the same shall or may consist at the time of my decease I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my Daughter Elizabeth CHAPMAN to and for her own absolute use and disposal Subject nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with the payment thereout of my just debts and Funeral and Testamentary expenses And I do hereby nominate constitute and Appoint my said Daughter Elizabeth CHAPMAN Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made In WITNESS whereof I the said Tressham CHAPMAN the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament Set my hand and Affixed my Seal this sixteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one

On the 13 January 1834 Elizabeth CHAPMAN of Rushden in the County of Northampton Spinster the sole Executrix named in the within will was then sworn well and faithfully to perform the same And that the deceased at the time of his death (which happened on the 12th day of December last) was not possessed of Goods Chattels and Credits to the value of three hundred Pounds
