Thomas Bunch - will 1611


In the name of God amen The xvjth day of Januarie in the yeare of our Lord on Thousand Six hundred and Eleven, I Thomas Bunch of Rushden in the County of North Labourer, being sick in body but whole in minde, Laud and praise be unto God therefore doe ordayne and make my Testament contayning warein my last Will in forme and mannor followeth First I bequeath my soule to almightie God my Creatoure and Redeemer and my body to be buried in the Parish Church Yard of Rushden afforesaid Item I geve unto the poor of Rushden where most need is ijs to be payd within on month after my Departure Item I geve unto John my sonne all my free hold land within Rushden or els Where. Item I geve unto Robert my second sonne on kettle and on pott which was his grandfathers gift Item I geve unto Tomas my theird sonne three strickes of Pease and six stickes of barley to be delivered before the Annuntiation of St Mary the Virgin next coming and two pigges to be delivered within on month after my Departure and on kettle the biggest of the three and on little brasse panne Item I geve unto my said sonne Tomas and to my Sonne Richard, on Acar of tylth and on Acar of Pease land to be Sowne equallie betwixit them at the next seedstime after the date hearof with two Acars I hired of Robert SAUNDERS sen yeoman they paying him the rent for the same. Item I geve unto my sayd sonne Richard on pyed hefer and three strickes of Barley and two strickes of pease Item I geve unto John my sonne on bedd my second bedd with on payr of sheettes and other furniture belonging to the Same. Item I geve unto my sonnes Tomas and Richard all my Apparell to be parted equallie betwixt them. Item I geve unto Margerie my wife on black pyed cow, and all my houshold stuffe (excepting the shelves in the haull and parlour and on panne and kettle before geven to Tomas) and three strickes of barley and on flich of Bacon, and on peece of Woollan cloath, my sonne John having first on payr of hose of the same. Item my will is that if my wife and my eldest sonne cannot agree in dwelling to gether till the next sommer that then the stuff as straw and Hay shall be parted equallie between them, for the keepping of their cattayle till the sayd sommer. Item All the rest of my goods unbequeathed I geve unto John my sonne, whom I mak my full Executor of this my last will and Testament And I appoint for supervisors Francis BATES and Robert MAY In witness hearof I have put my hand the Day and Yeare above wrighten
