Thomas Bunch - will 1611

In the name of god Amen The xvjth daie Januarie in the yeare of our Lord one thousand sixe hundred and eleven I Thomas Bunch of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton labourer being sick in bodie but whole in mynde laude and praise be unto god therefore doe ordaine and make my testament containing herein my last will in forme and manner following First I bequeath my soule to almyghtie god my Creator and Redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the parishe churcheyarde of Rushden aforesaid Item I give unto the poore of Rushden where most neede is ijs to be paied within one moneth after my departure Item I give unto John my sonne all my freehold lands within Rushden or elsewhere Item I give unto Robert my second sonne one kettle and one pott which was his grandmothers guyft Item I give unto Jonas my third sonne three strykes of pease and sixe strikes of ba[r]lie to be delivered before the Annunciation of St Marie the virgine next comeing and two pigs to be delivered within one moneth after my departure and one kettle the bigger of the three and one little brasse pann Item I give unto my said sonne Jonas and to my sonne Richard one acres of tylth and one acre of pease land to be sowen equallie betwixt them at the next seedstyme after the date hereof which two acres I hired of Robert Saunnderson yeoman they paying him the Rent for the same Item I give unto my said sonne Richard one pyde heifer and three strikes of barlie and two strykes of pease Item I give unto John my sonne one bedd my second bedd with one paire of sheets and other furniture belonging to the same Item I give unto my sonnes Jonas and Richard all my apparel to be parted equallie betwixt them Item I give unto Margerie my wife one black pyed Cowe and all my household stuffe (exceptinge the shelves in the hall and parlor and one pann and kettle before given to Jonas) and three strykes of barlie and one flitch of bacon and one peece of woollen cloath my sonne John paying first one paire of hose of the same Item my will is that if my wife and my eldest sonne cannott agree in dwellinge together tyll the next sommer that then the stuffe as strawe and haye shalbe parted equallie betweene them for the keeping of theire Cattell till the said sommer Item all the rest of my goodes unbequeathed I give unto John my sonne whom I make my full executor of this my last will and testament And I appoint for supervisors Frances Bates and Robert Maye In wytness hereof I have put to my hande the daie and yeare above written the mark of Thomas Bunch testator Wytnesses Robert Maye John Burge his mark
