John Bunch - will 1633
In the name of god amen this xxth day of June in Anno Domini 1633 I John Bunch of Rushden in the county of North’ton being sicke in body but in perfect memory do ordayne and make this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I bequeath my soule unto Allmighjty god my Creator and to Jesus Christ my redeemer and my body to be buryed in the Churchyard of Rushden In primis I give unto the minister of Rushden to preach at my buryall vj s viij d Item I give to my brother Robert Bunch his Eldest daughter xx s to be payd seaven years after my decease and yf she shall depart out of this world before the money be payd then it shall returne to my brother Robert Bunch on[e] yeare after the decease of the child Item I give to my brother Rychard Bunch xx s to be payd him Imediatly after my decease also I give unto the said Rychard Bunch on[e] Cow to be delivered him Imediatly after my decease Item I give to my Brother Robert Bunch on[e] acar of barley lying together with Barley is upon Mr Sanderson Land which lyeth at his Closse Corner Item I give to my Brother Jonas Bunch xxv s to be payd him whensoever he shall come to demand it Item I give to the poore of Rushden xx s to be distributed amongst them on the day of my buriall Item I give to James Staughton the sonn of Thomas Staughton xij d to be payd him presently after my decease Item I give to John Gurry the sonn of Willm Gurry the younger xij d Item I give to Robert Bunch and Rychard Bunch my two Brothers all my apparel equally to be devided between them Item I give to Rebecca Clarke the wife of William Clarke ij s to be payd hir imediatly after my decease Item I give to my Eldest daughter Sussan Bunch twenty pounds to be payd hir by my Executor at ye age of Sixteen yeares Item I give to my daughter Hana Bunch xx£ to be payd her when shee comes to the age of sixteene yeares my will is for her that yf either of my daughters depart before the portion of twenty pounds be payd that then the Longer Liver iof them to have the whole sume of fourty pounds when she shall come to the age of sixteene yeares Allso my will is further that yf boath my daughters shal dye before they come to the age of sixteene yeares that then my sonn… Bunch shall have the whole forty pounds to be payd him presently after my decease Item I give to my daughter Sussan my best bedsted with curtains and hangins belonging to the same and on of my best Chests in the Chamber and foure pieces of pewter my biggest Kettell … brasse pot and thesse to be dellivered to hir at ye age of sixteene yeares Item I give to my daughter Hanna my best Cubard standing in …. And my next best Chest in the Chamber where … Lye my biggest brasse pott that I have in the Halle and thesse to be delivered at the age of sixteen yeares… best milch beasse to be dellivered to hir at ye age of sixteene yeares eyther of them on Item I give to my sone Willm during his … a shirt Cloath to be performed by my executor also I give to my sonne Willm two Ewes and Lambes to be dellivered presently after my decease Also I give to my sonne William xxx s to be payd him between this and St Michaells day next coming Item I give to Willm Darnally and to Willm Gurry the Elder xx s a pece to be payd them within on[e] moneth after my decease whom I make Overseers of my will and that they … for that my Childrens portions be performed and that which I have bequeathed In this my Last will Item all the rest of my goods and Chattells …… moveable and unmoveable within doores and without I give unto Sussan my wife whom I make my sole executrix of this my Last will … …. … the ground and to performe all those debts and Legases that I have bequeathed to be performed In witness hearof I have sett my hand the day above written
