In dei no[min]e amen Anno do[min]e 1524 vicesimo primo die April I John Buckmast[er] of Rushden beyng holl of mynd make my testament and last will on thys man[ner] Fyrst I beqweth my soule unto almyghty god to o[ ur ] lady and all the holy co[m]pany of hevyn and my body to be buryed in the chappell of seynt Jhon w[ithin] the church of Rusheden yn the countie of Northampton also I beqweyth my best gud to be my pry[n]cypall aft[er] the custom and the man[ner] of the towne Also to the church of Lincoln ij s Also to seynt John chappell ij s (where as) my bodye shall lye vj s viijd Also to seynt John chappell of Slypton v s Also to ev[er]y altar in the church vj d Also to the church of Chelson and Calcott iij s iiij d Also to the church of Hyh [a]m iij s iiij d Also to the church of Wymyngton ij s Also to the churche of Sharnbroke iij s Also I beqweth to M[ar]gery my wife the house in Rushden that is called burres house with the yard belongyng to the same Also I beqweyth hyr two kye xxty shepe xxty marks in money with all the houshold stuffe furthermore I wyll that Robt my son shall ev[er]y yere duryng the lyfe of my wyfe the house (d)ress and see unto ___ iiij acres of the land which he hath by my gyft within the felds of Rushden and to bryng yt who (unto) hyr at the season of the yere at hys p__pre ____ and change Also I wyll that she shall have ev[er]y yere iiij swathes of medow land duryng hyr lyfe furthermore I gyfe unto  hyr ij acres of ___ land lye[n]g in the felds of Rushden that is to say an acre and a halffe lyeng togey in a place of the felds called langyldene hyll betwixt the land of Jone dalle wydow on the one p[ar]ty and John Hall of the oth[er] p[ar]ty Also 1 rode and a halffe lying in the felds of Rushden lyeng on long (byldern) next unto the land of Ric Basse of the north p[ar]ty Also halffe a rode lyeng upon fox_____next unto the land of Thomas Steyn on the est part to ___ and to (sell) the forsed land at hyr ples(ure) Also I gyve unto Thomas my son ij acres and a halffe of ___ land lyeng also yn the felds of Rushden whereof iij rodes lyth in a place callyd holowe next unto my sylffe of the north p[ar]te It[em] a rode and a halffe lyeng to gether on a place called le Shale next to the land of John ____ey of the west p[ar]ty Also on acre lyeng to gether on a place gryd_ (hy)ll next unto the land of Wyllm May of the north p[ar]ty and Also 1 rode and a  halffe lyeng upon wolfe next unto the land of John ____ of the west p[ar]ty and the land of (Mr) Wyllm Pemberton of the est p[ar]te Also I will that Robt my son have the use of the forsaid land ____ of the lyfe of Margery my wyffe and after the deth of Margery my wyffe and John my son I wyll that Hughe Buckmaster the son of John shall have the forsed ij acres & a halffe & to sell ____
