In the name of god amen on the xxth of June in Ano dm 1598 I Willm Boyfielde of  Rushden in the countie of Northt yeoman being sicke in body by the visitacon of almightie god but whole in memorie thanks be to god doe now make and ordayne this my last will and testament in maner and forme following first I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of hym that gave it that is almightie god and trust to be saved by his sonne Jesus Christ by whom and in whom I trust to be saved and have forgivenes of all my sinns and my body to the earth from whence it came etc. Item I give unto Richard my eldest sonne all my lands and tenements excepting that that was my mothers and one cottage late Adsones for that he shall paye out of the sayd lands xxli unto my sonne Tho Boyfield within two years after my departure and that ye sayd Richard shalbe bounde to performe the one halfe of the sayd lands unto Ellyn my wyfe so longe as she liveth and the bond shall 200li Item I give unto Tho. Boyfeld my second sonne the land that came by my mother and one cottage late Adsonns and xx£ of currant money to be payd at the age of xxvj years and one fetherbed Item I give unto Willm. Boyfeld my sonne thirteth pounds of currant money and one fetherbed Item I give unto Robt. Boyfeld my sonne xxx£ ij ewe sheepe to be payd xli presently and thither xxli at the age of xxiiij years of currant money Item I give unto Josias Boyfield my sonne xxx£  of currant money to be payd at thage of xxiij years Item I give unto Grase Clayton my maide servant one lambe Item I give unto the parish church of Rushden iijs iiijd Item I give unto the repayre of the Northend causey iijs iiijd Item I give unto Ellyn my wyfe vj peeces of pewter ij candlesticks and one basone and iij parts of the linen and thither fourth part to Rich my sonne and my will is that the tabell in the hall the seating and bench and the prese in the parlor shalbe standen to the house All the rest of my goods unbequeathed my debts being payd and funerall expenses discharged I give unto Ellen my wyfe and Richard my sone whom I make my full executors of this my last will and testament and my beloved frends Tho. Margetts and John Tape I make my supervisors and all other wills I utterly revoke & will that this shall serve and noe otherwise witnes unto the same Tho. Maye and John Burge.
