William Blossom - 1793 Will

Will of William BLOSSOM, dated 20th Feb 1785

In the Name of God Amen I William BLOSSOM of the Parish of Rushden in the County of Northampton Yeoman being (thanks be to God) of a Sound and disposing mind and Memory but considering the mortality of my Body and the uncertainty of the time of my Death do this twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred Eighty five make this my last Will and Testament in the following manner and form (that is to say) I give to my daughter Hannah BLOSSOM the furniture of the Best room viz. the Bed and Bedding with three pair of the best Sheets a Chest of Draws a dressing Table and half a dozen Black Chairs – One large Silver Spoon – half a dozen pewter plates and three large pewter Dishes, and a large Chest and one tea Table Item I also give and bequeath to my Son Thomas BLOSSOM all my several goods Chattle Cattle and Stock in husbandry with all my rights Credits Monies Servings houshold Stuff furniture and all other my Personal Estate wheresoever & whatsoever not herein before disposed of he paying all my Just Debts and funeral expences And I do also nominate constitute and appoint my Said Son Thomas BLOSSOM to be my only and Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament And I do hereby revoke and disannul all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made Ratifying and Confirming this and no other as my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day and year above written

Probate - On the 28th Sept 1793 Thomas BLOSSOM the Sole Executor named in the within Will was then Sworn faithfully to perform the same and that the Dec’d at the time of his Death was not possessed of a personal Estate to the amount of three Hundred Pounds
