Thomas Bletsho - Will 1636

Rushden February xiij 1636

In the name of God Amen
I Thomas Bletsho of Rushden in the county of
Northampton husbandman being sicke in body but of
perfect memory God be praised doth the day and
yeare above written make my last will & testament
in manner & forme following. First I bequeath my
soule unto almighty God my body to be buryed in
the churchyard of Rushden aforesaid with an assured
hope of a joyful resurrecon and for my worldly
goods & chattels I dispose of them as hence followeth
First I give unto my eldest daughter Mary xl s to
be paid in two yeares time at every halfe yeares
end x s  until the two yeares be come out and
sixe shillings eight pence a yeare for xx yearesafter my
decease that is to say iij s 4 d at Crist miss & iij s iiij d at Ester
& so to continew for the terme of twenty years & hir dwelling
in the little  house that John Lanford dwelin with so much yard
roome as now hath & that for terme of hir life if shee keep
hir selfe unmarried but shee marry my exector shal take
the  hous in to his owne hands & give hir xiij s iiij d a yeare for
the terme of xx years after my diseas.

Item I give to my dafter Mary one borden bed two pear of sheetes
one peare of _____ & one pear of hemp tear & one brass pot and this to be at the disposing of my exector & to be delivered to hir after my diseas my will is that if my dafter Mary dye before this money be paied it shal remaaine to the exector.

Item my second dafter Elizabeth being already mareyed have
ten poundes to reseive of hir porshon the residew being paid
to be paid with in one year after my diseas & twentie
shillings to hir child to be paid to him at forteen years of age.

Item to my dafter Susan xxl* ten poundes to be paid hir at hir
day of marriage & ten poundes that (time) twelve month
which if shee do not mary with in twelvemonth after my
diseas then shee shal have ten pounds & _______ ten pounds that time twelve month

Item to my wiffe my will is that shee shal have two acers
of Barly & two acers of paies to be brought home to hir to
the house wher I now dwel on[e] (Joge) of (haye) to be brought
___ ___ wife _ther is sertaine land in my wives hand
wich my exector shall have to his use for terme of his life
or else this graine & haye shall not be to hir use ______ is
that my wife shall have two of the best bease that shee
can chowes & three ewe shipe with all the moveable goods
within the house un bequeathed exept the long table
in the haule with the benchbord

Item all the rest of my goods & chattels unbequeathed I give to
my sonne Thomas whom I make my sole exector of this
my last will my detes & funeral discharged.

Item I appoint for this my will Overseers of
this my will for the same Samuell Richards and Lewes Tapp
