In the name of God Amen the xvijth of August Ao dni 1583
I Robt Achurch of Rushden beinge sicke in bodie but hole in mynd doe
make and ordeine my last will and testament in forme and manner
following &c First I bequesth my soule into thands of Almightie god
my maker and saviour and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of
Rushden aforesaid Itm I geve to Mawde my onlye daughter five
pownds of good and lawful money of England to be payed by George
(fourth of my land) with one yeare after my departure Itm I geve
to Robt Flawne sonne and heire of Matthew Flawne five pounds of
good and lawful money of England to be payed by George (out of my
land) at thage of xviijth years Itm I geve unto the poore of Rushden
vj s viij d to be payed the Daie after my departure Itm I geve unto the
Church of Rushden ij s Itm I geve to my two servants Thomas Hunt
and John Moyett two shillings to either of them to be delivered at the tyme
of their Apprenticeshipp is accomplished Itm I will that Agnes my wife
and George my sonne shall have all my goods and Chattelles both moveable
and unmoveable to be devyded equallie betwixt them both The Rest of
my goods unbequeathed I doe geve unto Agnes my wife and George
my sonne whome I doe make my full executors in witness Richard Peake
