John Achurch 1770

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Achurch of Rushden in the County of Northampton husbandman First I give and devise all those my two Messuages or Tenements situate and being in Rushden aforesaid and and in the severale Tenures of Thomas Partridge and Ann Jackson unto my Son John Achurch and his Heirs and assigns for ever I do also give all those my three leys of grass ground lying on a piece of ground called Clarke piece and called or known by the Name of Serjeants Leys unto my said Son John Achurch his Heirs and Assigns for ever I Give and Devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances with the Close of pasture or inclosed ground hereto adjoining called Grooms Messuage and now in my own Tenure or Occupation and also all my piece of Meadow ground in Rushden Meadow unto my Son Robert Achurch and his heirs and assigns for ever I also give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances in a certain Street called Duck Street in Rushden aforesaid with the Close of pasture thereto adjoining unto my said son Robert Achurch and his Heirs and Assigns for ever And my Will and Mind is that the rents Issues and profits of the Estates above by me devised to my said Son Robert Achurch shall be paid to had and received by my Brother Samuel Achurch and his Son John Achurch for the use and Benefit of my Son Robert Achurch until he attains the age of Four and Twenty years I charge my personal Estate with the payment of an Annuity or yearly payment of five pounds a year in neat money unto my dear Wife Alice Achurch during the Term of her natural Life I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Achurch the Sum of Two Hundred and Thirty pounds to be paid to her two years after my Decease (the Interest in the Mean Time to be paid to her for her support and Maintenance) or on the Day of her Marriage provided she marrys with the approbation and Consent of my said Brother Samuel Achurch I give and bequeath to my said Brother Samuel Achurch and his Son John Achurch and to the survivor of them and the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor the Sum of Two Hundred pounds In Trust for the use and Benefit of my said Son Robert Achurch to be paid to him at his age of one and Twenty years or sooner at the Discretion of my said Trustees the Interest thereof in the mean Time to be paid and applied in his Support I also give and bequeath to my said Trustees or the Survivor of them the Sum of two Hundred pounds to be by them placed out at Interest for the benefit of my Daughter Ann Achurch to be paid to her at the Age of Twenty three years or Day of Marriage provided she marrys with the approbation of my said Brother Samuel Achurch and his Son John Achurch or the Survivor of them I give and Bequeath all the residue of my personal Estate unto my said Son John Achurch he paying thereout my just Debts and funeral Expences and do nominate and appoint him the Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the fourth Day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Six
