Yeoman being sicke of body but of p[er]frect memory god be praysed doe ..
the day and yeare above written make my last will and testament, in
mannor and fourme as followeth first I bequeath my soule unto the hands of
Almighty god my maker and my body to be buryed in the churchyard
of Rushden aforsayd (with in assured) hope of a joyfull resurrection and for my
worldly goodes & chattels I dispose of them as heare followeth
In primis I give unto my daughter Sussan Tap on hundred markes of lawfull money
of
England
to be payd unto her within two yeares next coming after my
decease, and a bride cart of twenty pounds, and two beasse at the tyme and
day of her marriage p[ro]vided that yf my said daughter shall happen to be maryed
contrary to my mynd of myne executrix and overseers of this my last will
that then it shalbe lawfull for my sayd executrix to give hir such a portion

Item I give to Katherne Tapp my now wyfe the leasse of my house and with all
the appurtenances theirunto belonging wherin I now dwell, and when my sonn
John Tapp shall come the age of on twentyeth yeares my mynd is then that
my said sonn shalbe joined with his mother my said wyfe, and to have half ether
the p[er]sites any wise arising out of the same lease paying equall rent and other
dues belonging their unto And my mynd and will is he shall enter upon halfe they
crop of grayne redy sowne
Item I give to every on of my childrens children on sheep a piece to be delivered
unto them within two moneths after my discease
Item I give unto every on of my daughers five shillings a peice and to my sonne Lewes as much
Item I give unto my servants five shillings a piece to be payd within halfe a yeare after my discease
Item I give to the poore of Rushden xx s to be payd immediately after my discease
Item my will is that yf my Brother Willm Tapp shalbe visited with sickness or in any other distrese that he shall have a chamber in ye cottage house called Williams during his life
Item for all the rest of my goods and chattels unbequethed my debts and funeral discharged
I give unto my now wyfe whom I make sole executrix and I do appoint
