John Myles - 1634 will

In the name of the father & of the sonn
& of the Holy Ghost Amen the vj th day of
May Anno Dm 1634 I John Myles of Rushden
in the county of Northampton husbandman being
sick in body yet in perfect memory thanks
be given to God doe ordaine & make this my
testament containing herein my last
will in manner & forme following First
I give & bequeath my soule into the hands
of Allmighty God my creator & to Jesus
Christ my Redeemer & to the holy Ghost my
Comforter sanctifier & preserver & my body
to be buried in the church yard of Rushden
& my goods to the world as following.
Item I give & bequeath unto Margery
my youngest daughter twenty pounds
whereof ten pounds to be paid her at
the day of her marriage & the other tenn
pounds to be paid her within one month
after the birth of her first child if she doe
live. Alll the rest of my goods & chattels
bonds & money moavabeles & unmoavables
unbequeathed not before given both within
doores & without doores both in the field
& towne I give & bequeath unto
Margery my wife whom I make sole
executrix of this my last will & testament
to see my debts & legacies discharged & my
body brought to the ground And I doe
appoint for overseers of the same John Smith
& Elias May. In witness whereof I doe
hereunto set my hand the day & yeare above
written. The marke of John Myles wittnes
to this will John Smith Wm Darnely
Thomas Myles.
