Testament George MASSHE de Rushden def.

In the Name of God Amen. I George MASSHE of Rushden in ye Countye of Northton Labourer, being sycke in bodye, but whole in mynde, thankes be given to Allmightie God doe this 14 of January Anno Domini 1609 make and ordaine this my last Will & testament in forme following First I bequeath my Soule into the hande of Allmightie God and my bodye to be buried in the Church Yard of Rushden. Itm I give unto my brother Robert MASHE of Woollaston xls. Itm I give unto my Sister Alice Hall dwelling in Harrold xxs. Itm I give to my Sister Elizabeth BROWNE dwelling in Woollaston xxs. Itm I give and bequeath unto Mary my Kinsewoman xxs. to be paid to either of them above named within the terme of two Yeares after my departure. Itm I give and Bequeath to my sister Rufe [Ruth] dwelling in Cranford xls. All the rest of my goods unbequeathed I doe give unto Alice my Wife whom I doe make my whole Executrix.
