Joan Campion - Will 1608

In the name of god Amen the eighteenth daie of febuary September Anno Dni Millimo Sexcentisimo I Johane CAMPION of Rushden in the countye of Northton widowe beinge sike in bodye but of perfecte remembrance thankes be given to god doe for the disposinge of all my worldlie goods and cattells … … some convenient Staie of  livinge of my youngest daughter Elizabeth make this my last will and testament in manner and forme foloweing First and principallie I give and bequeath my soule into the handes of god trusteing through the merittes of Jesus Christe And thoroughe his Deathe And passion to Receive liffe everlasting and my bodie to be buried in the same Chappell in Rushden where my late husbande doth lye buried Item I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my daughter in Full Recompense pay discharge of such somes of money that my late husbande did by his last will and testament give and bequeath the Full some of  fowr score poundes of Lawfull money of England to be delivered to her att the age of xviij Yeres or att the daie of her marriage which ever of them shall first happen And if itt shall happen att the tyme of the death of me the sayd Johane that there shalbe any somes of money due by bondes or bills to me the said Johane and the Said Elizabeth by reason of any bondes billes or wrighteings nowe made or hereafter to be made in the names of me the said Johane and of the said Elizabeth and to one or other of  our uses and the said Elizabeth shall happen to survive whereby in cause of Lawe such somes of money shall or maie be onlye due to the said Elizabeth yet my meaning and will is that such somes of money be due or to be due by any such bonde bill or wrighteing shalbe Accompted And reputed parcell of that foure score poundes by this my last will and Testament given to her Item I give and bequeate to the said Elizabeth all my goods and cattells and householde which nowe are in my lodging chamber in Rushden aforesaid except one parcell of woolle remaining there And also except eight silver spones Item I give to the said Elizabeth my cupberde and cupbord closse in the hall and the table and greate chare in the hall And one Framed form in the parlour and two of my best framed stoles And one Litle framed stole and two pieces of Lynnen clothe Item I give and bequeath to my sister Phillipp SUMNER and to her three children xl s. Item I give to my brother Phillipes two daughters x s. a piece Item I give to the three children of my sister Alice NICOLLS x s. a piece And to the three children of my late brother Tomas x s. viij d. a piece all my said last recited legasies shalbe paid by my executors within one yere after my decease Item I give to my brother Phillipp xl s. to be paid within one yere after my decease Item I give to my brother John SUMNER vij l xiij s. iiij d. to be paid within one yere after my decease Item I give to Katheryne and Mary my daughters children foure of the silver spones before excepted and to my daughter Mary the other fower spones of silver before excepted Item I give to the said Elizabeth my daughter three cushones my greate panne one Litle panne And one pott of brasse Item I give to the said two daughters Kathryne & Mary of my daughter Mary the some of vj l. of Lawful money of England to be be delivered to them within one yeare next after my decease Item I give to Margarett SUMNER my second best gowne Item all other my householdestuff and goods remayning in and above the new Dwelling house and yard wherein I nowe dwell being unbequeathed I give to William FITZGEOFFERY my sonne in lawe and to Mary his wiffe except on parcell of Woolle I give to the poore in Rushden x s. All other my goods cattells debts & householdestuff not bequeathed I give to John SUMMER my brother and to Elizabeth my daughter whome I make Sole executrix of this my last will and Testament And I doe herby Revoke all former wills heretofore made by me And I doe appoint overseers of this will Francis BATES Rychard BARWICK & to either of them I give ij s a peice In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hande the daie and yeare first above written.
