Richard Brittaine - 1655 will

12 April 1635

In the name of God Amen
I Richard Brittaine of Rushden in the ( county of Northampton )
being sick of  body but of whole & perfect
remembrance laud &  praise be unto God, doe
ordaine & make this my last will & testament
in manner & forme as followeth. First I
bequeath my soul unto the hands of Allmighty
God my maker & redeemer & my body to bee
buried in the church yard of Rushden as of right
it ought. Item I bequeath to my sonne Richard
Brittaine forty shillings to be paid when he
comes to the age of ten yeares to help him
to a trade & all the rest of my goods & chattels
unbeqeathed I bequeath to my wife Elizabeth
Brittaine my debts being paid & funeral
expenses discharged whom I ordaine & make
my sole executrix of this my last will &
testament. Richard Brittaine Wittneses
hereunto Willm Campion Richard Brittain junior
