I, LF, gave gallery lessons this week on Subtraction, Shapes and Forms.
Examined the 2nd class. Most of the children can spell words from a reading card also say figures and count to one hundred. Mental Arithmetic is poor. Writing fair.

Canon Barker visited school this morning and presented miss Day with a small writing case as a token of love and esteem from teachers and children.
Told the children they were to come to school a ¼ of an hour earlier in the afternoon and they would then go ¼ of an hour sooner on account of the short days and many of them having to go some distance.
Owing to altering the time of commencing and closing school I now take all lessons a quarter of an hour earlier than they are marked on the timetable..
