The work of this school is carried on under difficult conditions. The defects of the premises have already been set forth in previous reports but little or nothing has yet been done to improve matters.
The Head Master who controls both the school and his class with distinct ability has been in charge for rather less than two years. He is working hard and to good purpose, but there is still a good deal of lee-way to be made up before the school can be said to be in a thoroughly satisfactory condition.
A decided improvement is noticeable in the continuity of the teaching and in the general tone and discipline of the school which had suffered considerably as the result of frequent changes in the personnel of the staff during the past four years.
The standard of work, however, shows considerable inequality. The chief weakness is to be found in the middle section of the school.
Here, the teacher of the tthird standard seems unable to control efficiently the children under his charge, while the teacher of standard 4 has had little experience in handling a class and apparently does not propose to continue in the profession for any length of time.
In view of the peculiar difficulties of service in this school, it seems very desirable that the staff should be strengthened.

The Rev’d E J Atkins reports
This school is in a very satisfactory state as regards Religious teaching. Bible knowledge was very good throughout. The writing of Catechism and Bible Stories was specially noticeable.
The singing and the enunciation of the words of hymns showed careful training.
Mr Atkins seems to have been very well pleased with the general condition of the school.
