Copy of report received today from Correspondent Manager.

“The department continues to be characterised by an atmosphere of thorough work. The master spares no effort; his example is followed by his staff and the children apply themselves steadily to their work.
Throughout the school the written exercises are very neatly and accurately done, and the answering in such subjects as geography is both general and fairly fluent, although the distinctness of articulation in answering praised in 1911 does not seem general now.
The teaching tends, in several cases, to remove too many difficulties from the children’s paths; in the upper classes, for example, more should be expected from the children’s own preparation.
Viewing the work as a whole, the master is to be congratulated upon the general level of attainment throughout the school.

The repetition throughout was excellent, and the written work was very creditable indeed.
