Accident on the Football FieldYesterday a youth named Ernest Freeman, who is in the employ of Mr. J. Bugby, fish merchant, had the misfortune to break his leg. He was playing as goalkeeper for the Alfred-street Old Scholars v Alfred-street Present Scholars, and, in kicking at the ball, fell heavily, with the result that his right leg was broken. The sufferer was removed to his home and Dr. Baker was called in. After attending to the injuries Dr. Baker advised the lad’s removal to the Northampton Hospital, and this was done.
