Another regular contractor was the late Roger Austin who ran a motor spares company at Raunds Old Railway Station.
Roger was an enthusiast for old Scammel vehicles and rebuilt several. On their completion he would ask Clive to do the finishing in the original style as he is one of few still practicing the techniques that had been used when the old vehicles were originally painted.
All the modern vehicles at the dismantler’s yard were also painted up by Clive.
