Northampton Mercury, 16th July 1903

Burglary—A robbery was discovered on Friday morning at the premises of the Windward Cycle Co. The premises were securely closed on Thursday evening, but on Friday morning the back door leading into the yard, which abuts on John-street, was found to be wide open. It would appear that the depredator or depredators effected an entrance by cutting out a hole three or four inches square in one of the lower panels of the door. One of the company’s new Standard bicycles was taken from the window in the front. A cycle outfit was also removed.

This became the Lightstrung Co. Ltd
