The Viking

The Viking in 2007

The Viking was built in 1976 for Charles Wells Ltd., to serve the new Grangeway and Home Farm estate. It was the first public house to be built in Rushden since the Second World War. In 2008 there was a serious fire there, but it was refurbished and opened again later the same year.

New pub for Easter holiday
Drinkers on Rushden’s Home Farm Estate should have their own local by Easter.

The Viking, a new pub being built on the estate by the Charles Wells brewery, is expected to open for the holiday. It will have a lounge bar, public bar, plus a games area providing darts and skittles.
