In the 1990s rapid changes were happening in High Street, following the end of Rushden Co-operative Society.

This began a gradual loss of much of our High Street and it is now a shadow of it's former grandeur.

Beewise took over this large shop c1995 on the site of the former Co-op department store, demolished in 1992. It has since been taken on by QS, and Store 21. subdivided in 2019 for Specsavers and Iceland 2021.
