Shops 1990s

In the 1990s rapid changes were happening in High Street, following the end of Rushden Co-operative Society.

This began a gradual loss of much of our High Street and it is now a shadow of it's former grandeur.

Bwise
Beewise took over this large shop c1995 on the site of the former Co-op department store, demolished in 1992.
It has since been taken on by QS, and Store 21.
subdivided in 2019 for Specsavers and Iceland 2021.

The old BATES name board recently uncovered during refurbishment of these buildings and conversion back to residential properties.
